Their story

Love in the everyday

Kale and Danica’s film begins with a hope held long before their wedding day. An opening speech recalls prayers for the people their children would one day marry: people of integrity, kindness and faith. Addressing Danica, the speaker celebrates the love she has brought into Kale’s life. The welcome reflects years of love and prayer for the couple.

The speeches share smaller memories, too: quiet childhood play and the many firsts of parenthood. A later speech recalls dressing up and picking daisies, contrasting those childhood memories with the bride standing before them. These stories give a glimpse of the years before their celebration at Plamondon Hall.

One toast finds the heart of their relationship in a particularly ordinary detail: the care taken to cut Kale’s apples for his lunch. Beside the larger promises, that little act says something tender about how love is practised from day to day.

The words surrounding them offer support for whatever comes next. There are promises to pray, to walk alongside them and to keep loving them as they grow. Their wedding brings together the people who helped them get here and celebrates the everyday care they share.
